MyAlaskaGuide… an app is born.

Angie and I have exciting news! We have taken our downtown Anchorage Walking tour and created an APP so that independent guests and Covid-wary tour fans who are not ready for an in-person experience can get an in-depth taste of Anchorage. We are starting with a Historic Anchorage walking tour, but are already working on expanding the app to include driving tours and walking tours all over the state of Alaska. The tours are both narrated and written, depending on the preference of the guest. The sites are GPS activated so that the user need only follow the directions without having to manage the app on their phone. However, the automatic part of it can be disabled… and app users can activate the “pins” at their leisure or even remotely to get a tour from their couch

The app, MyAlaskaGuide, should be in the app stores by June 1st. There will be a reasonable fee for the narrated tours, but we are also working on free content that will enhance a visitors experience here in Alaska. We hope to work with our foreign language guides to translate the tours into several different languages by 2022.

Please reach out to us with any questions! If you try the app out, we will be eager to hear your feedback!
